Tim Lee Downs

A Celebration of Life service for Timothy Lee Downs, 62, will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Pembroke Baptist Church in Pembroke, KY with Brother Anthony Haley officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 PM until the time of service.

Tim passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at his home after a brief bout with cancer. He was born in Bardstown, KY on July 24, 1960 to John B. Downs and Norma Ann Downs.

He was the owner and operator of Downs' Painting Service. Tim loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping by lakes and sitting around the campfire. He had a passion for outdoor grilling and loved to cook for others. Tim would decorate his home with Christmas lights every year and would compete for the best lit house in Pembroke. He cherished his two grandsons and loved spending time with them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Hancock. He was survived by his wife of 30 years, Alpha Mae Baker Downs; daughters, Jessica Ann Starks of Pembroke, KY and Rachel Elizabeth Downs of Hopkinsville, KY; son, Benjamin Patrick Downs of Pembroke, KY; brothers, Dr. John B (Aimee) Downs of Mt Eden, KY, Tony (Julie) Downs of Simpsonville, SC, and Todd (Tammy) Downs of Hopkinsville, KY; sister, Shelia Graves of Des Moines, IA; grandsons, Jaxon Blake and Wyatt James Downs, both of Pembroke, KY; nephews: Jason Hancock, Chris Hancock, and Walker Downs; nieces: Kim Schlei, Molly Downs, Kaleigh Stout, Whitney Graves, Ashton Copass, and Shelby Downs.
