Richard Laurence Quinby

1954-2021

Richard Laurence Quinby, 66, passed away at home on April 11, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Richard will be missed by his wife, Angie (Lovvorn); stepchildren, Nicole Stamper and Nathan Fathera; three grandchildren, as well as, numerous extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Quinby; parents, Laurence and Betty (Mapes) and stepson, John Stamper.

Richard was a native of Florence, Alabama, although, he considered Nashville, TN his home for the past 40 years. Richard touched many lives during his career in the restaurant industry and his unique outlook and sense of humor will be missed. He was a passionate Alabama football fan and greeted many strangers with a "Roll Tide." He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, sharing stories and laughs, hiking, camping, and rock climbing.

While Richard never had children, he loved being a part of the lives of his stepchildren and considered being a grandfather one of his greatest accomplishments and source of joy.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Gilda's Club of Middle Tennessee.
