James Arthur Hawkins

James Arthur Hawkins, age 43, passed away on February 4, 2023. He was born on February 20, 1979, in Clarksville, TN.

James graduated from Austin Peay State University with a bachelor's degree in Physics. James always pursued careers of helping others, including spending time as math professor, safety officer, and emergency medical technician. The medical field became his true passion as he dreamed of going back to school to become a doctor and use his physics degree to help build better prosthetics. James will be remembered for his caring heart and his love for all things sci-fi and scuba diving. James was a loving devoted cat father to Oreo.

He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ray Hawkins; great grandmother, Bertha McPeake; grandparents, John K Hawkins and Avieoun McPeake Hawkins; and aunt, Julie Hawkins Sholders. He is survived by his mother, Shelia Marie Finney; grandmother, Nancy Lou Herrington; aunts: Stephanie M. Mabe, Susan M. Herrington, and Sharon M. Herrrera; uncle, Robert Hawkins and aunt, Debra Keel Hawkins; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
