MSG (Retired) Christopher Andrew Barnes, age 44, of Clarksville, TN passed away at home on Sunday, March 29, 2020. He was born to David and Sally (Twinem) Barnes of Cowen, TN. He was survived by his wife SGT (Retired) Katherine Ann (McIntire) Barnes and his children; Nicholas R. Barnes, Tyler D. Barnes, Zachary C. Barnes, Taylor L. Austin, Allison G. McIntire, Andrew D. Barnes and his two dogs, Knight and Prince. MSG Barnes was one of six children; David (Toni) Barnes Jr, Katherine (Darrel) Watson, Jennifer Kentof, Samuel (Brandy) Barnes, Ashley (Michael) Shelley, and his 11 Nieces, 9 Nephews, 1 great nephew. He was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Margie Barnes and maternal grandparents, Leonard and Katherine Twinem.

MSG Barnes entered in the United States Army in September of 1993, as Military Police Officer. During his time in service he endured many deployments including Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. MSG Barnes was a highly decorated soldier with numerous awards and accolades that included, The Order of the Marechaussee in Bronze that he was awarded in June of 2006. He regretfully retired in September of 2013. The military was his life and he was extremely proud of his years of service.
