Obituary

Anthony Benjamin Bartley
1976-2020

Anthony Benjamin Bartley, “Tony”, beloved son, brother and friend, left this world on October 5, 2020, in Clarksville, Tennessee, at the too young age of 44.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, David Perry Bartley, of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee, and is survived by his mother, Christine Kim Bartley, his sister, Katherine Lynette Williams, his nephew, Canyon Lake Williams, and his dearly loved dog, Shane, all of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee.

Tony was born on April 5, 1976, in Seoul, South Korea, to his parents, David and Christine Bartley.  Tony was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and lived the majority of his life in Clarksville, Tennessee, while maintaining his residence at the end of his life in Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee.

Tony was known as a vibrant, intelligent and talented person who was easy to befriend and could learn and excel at anything.  He was loved and in turn loved fiercely his loyal friends.  Tony was fortunate to have been blessed in life with the love of his faithful pets, including his dogs, Shane and M.J.

Special thanks are given to Lake, Cindy, and Percy Williams, our family members who have been here for us in every way during this difficult time.  Your constant love and care, knowing you are always with us, has meant everything. We love you and are so grateful to have you in our lives.

We also thank with full hearts our various friends, work family and community members who have reached out, given us time as we have needed it, been patient and kind, supportive and loving.

And finally, we would like to pay special tribute to Tony’s friends, who were part of his family, and remain part of ours.  To Brian, Ami, John, Jerry, Tim, Keith and so many others, your love, companionship, faithfulness, and the joy you brought into his life over the years are treasured beyond the words we can say.  Thank you for your enduring kindness and care.  We love you and are so grateful for you all.  Thank you for loving him.

Take care of yourselves, take care of your family and friends.  Love each other and cherish every moment.
