Roger Dale Warren was born on November 20, 1943, in Hickman County, TN and departed from this world on December 15, 2022. Roger passed away after a courageous battle with abdominal cancer. He was constantly surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Roger served honorably in the United States Air Force for 20 years, until his retirement. He served as a Civil Engineer and boiler operator. During his time in the Air Force, he served on the Prime Beef team, which is a rapidly deployable, specialized civil engineering unit. After his military retirement, Roger worked for Pope and Talbot (Halsey, OR) as a boiler operator. He was a pleasure to work with and well known for his humor and personal integrity.
Roger cherished spending time with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. He took pleasure in getting to know each of his grandchildren well and he was proud of his family. He was a beloved father and grandfather who will be remembered for his easy going nature and the care that he demonstrated in every aspect of life. Roger truly knew the importance of family and made certain that his daughter and grandchildren felt his love and care. To his daughter, he was a best friend and irreplaceable mentor.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hollis Warren; loving mother, Lillian Warren (Hooper); beloved brother, Howard Warren; and baby sister, Wanda Jane Warren. He leaves with us his daughter, Charlotte McKinley and son-in-law, Herschell McKinley; and grandsons: Sterlyn, Caspian, and Fallon McKinley.
Roger left an overwhelmingly positive impact on the world by simply being a man of great integrity who freely gave and received love and friendship. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
