Thomas William McKinney

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas William McKinney, who peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the age of 84, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born on March 9, 1941 in Robertson county to Vernon McKinney and Callie Bowman McKinney. Thomas was a dedicated family man who cherished his family, friends, and animals, especially Ruby and Maverick. He loved music and going dancing when he was able. He never met a stranger. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh and loved to tell stories, whether real or fake. He always found joy in lawn care and watching westerns.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Allen McKinney and Robert McKinney, and sister, Mossie Haley. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Betty McKinney of Clarksville, TN; sister, Linda (James) Beard of Springfield, TN; four daughters: Judy Fort of Cross Plains, TN, Karen Weber of Chattanooga, TN, Wanda (Tim) Hodge of Winchester, TN, and Becky (Thomas) Williams of Manchester, TN; son, Bobby (Toni) of Clarksville, TN; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
