Terry Dale Addison went to our Lord peacefully on November 29, 2022, at the age of 62, surrounded by his wife, Tina Boettcher-Addison; sons, Nicholas Boettcher and Matthew Boettcher; and family members, AJ and Jesska Mays. He was born on November 22, 1960, in Memphis, to John “Papa John” Addison and Martha “Honey” Addison.
He graduated from Trezevant High School and his fondest memories growing up were that of working with Papa John on his delivery route (#222). He continued in that field for many years, working at companies such as: Turner Dairy, Purity Dairy, and Dean Foods. He was also a Memphis Peace Officerfor a period. His most recent place of employment was Traffic Control Group, Inc in Nashville, where he worked as a traffic control officer.
Terry's greatest joy in life was being a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He never failed to tell his friends and family he loved them and was never too busy to visit. His favorite thing to do was make people laugh, even when he did not feel so good himself. When asked how he was, he would say “If I was any better, I’d be twins”. He was a Minnesota Vikings fan, loved watching Marvel and John Wayne movies, and Yellowstone. He was never without bubble gum and a smile.
In addition to his parents, Terry is preceded in death by brothers, Gary Addison and Larry Addison; and sister, Brenda Spicer. He is also survived by sons, Mark Woods and Kevin Woods; grandchildren: Christian Perez, Jeremiah Woods, Dylan Woods, Logan Woods, Andrew Woods; sister, Pat Myers; and many friends he considered Family.
A memorial service will be held on January 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Clarksville, 202 Fifth Street, Clarksville, TN, 37040.
