SFC John William Emberton, ARMY (Ret)

John William Emberton, age 77, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, at the Tennessee State Veteran's Home in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Born on January 18, 1949, in Tuscola, Illinois, John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 24 years. Following his military retirement, he continued his dedication to public service by working for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System for two decades.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary; his daughter, Amber; his parents, Kenneth and Alice Emberton; and his siblings, Kenny, Jerry, Richard, and Sue.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Scott (Angie) Emberton and Jason (Mary Ann) Emberton; his cherished grandchildren, McKenzie, Cole (Alyna), Araya, Allison, Nicholas, Wrigley, and Ivy; his siblings, Carol (Charlie) Barker, Marsha (Rick) Poole, Chuck Emberton, Kevin (Sayra) Emberton, and Dennis Emberton; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of the Tennessee State Veteran's Home, SunCrest Hospice, and Silver Angels of Tennessee for the exceptional care and kindness they provided.

In accordance with John's wishes, no services will be held.
