Robert Earl Oliver

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Oliver, who entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on July 26, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on December 20, 1935, Bob lived a life full of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to his family.

Bob was a man who found joy in life’s simple blessings. He loved spending time playing music, singing, and drawing, gifts that reflected his creative spirit and brought happiness to those around him. Whether sharing a song, a smile, or one of his drawings, Bob had a special way of making others feel loved.

After dedicating 21 years of service to Woodlawn Elementary School, Bob retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. Yet one of the greatest passions of his life was serving the Lord. As a faithful Sunday School teacher at Kirkwood Church, he poured his heart into teaching God’s Word for many years. He continued serving until his health no longer allowed him to do what he loved.

One of God’s greatest gifts to Bob was his beloved wife, Emmie Oliver. For 46 years, they shared a beautiful marriage built on faith, love, and commitment. Through every season of life, they stood by each other’s side, creating a home filled with love and cherished memories.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mildred Oliver; his beloved son, Bobby Jr.; his precious daughter, Jennifer; his brother, William; and his sister, Earline.

Left to honor his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Emmie Oliver; four beloved grandchildren; two treasured great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as Pawpaw; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure the love, wisdom, and kindness he shared.

To know Bob was to know a man of gentle character, deep faith, and quiet strength. He loved without condition, served without expecting recognition, and lived each day as an example of God’s love. His family will forever remember the songs he sang, the music he played, the drawings he created, and the warmth of his loving presence.

Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice in knowing that Bob’s faith has become sight. His legacy will live on through the family he cherished, the lives he touched, and the many memories that will forever be held close.
