Philip Miller, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2026, at the age of 74, after a heart attack. Born on December 28, 1951, in Canton, Ohio, Philip was a beacon of light and joy to those who knew him. He is predeceased by his loving parents, Wilbur and Beverly Miller, and leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unwavering faith.
Philip spent his early years in Canton, where he developed a passion for fishing and trains, hobbies that he carried with him throughout his life. He began his working career at Lemon's Supermarket in Canton, diligently stocking shelves and learning the value of hard work. Later, he pursued a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, dedicating six years to providing compassionate care to those in need. In recent years, Philip enjoyed the flexibility and social interaction of working as an Instacart shopper, where he continued to touch lives with his quick wit and humor.
Philip's life was a testament to the power of faith and family. An active member of Kenneth Copeland Ministries, he found great joy and solace in his spiritual journey. His faith was a guiding force, influencing his interactions and relationships, and leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to be in his presence.
On January 18, 2001, in the heart of Canton, Ohio, Philip married the love of his life, Carolyn. Together, they created a nurturing and loving home, celebrating 25 years of marriage filled with shared dreams and cherished memories. Carolyn survives him, as do his children—daughter Alyson Miller, son Micah Miller , and stepdaughters Courtney Day and Alexandra Ord. Philip was also a proud grandfather to Chelsie Woods and Bastian Sholar.
Philip's sense of humor and quick wit made him one of a kind, endearing him to friends and family alike. He had a unique ability to lift spirits, even in the most challenging times, and his laughter was a melody that will echo in the hearts of those who knew him. His siblings—brothers Randell and Richard, and sister Marcy—will remember him fondly as the carefree brother.
A celebration of Philip’s life will be held at a later date. We are deeply grateful for the love and support shown during this difficult time and will share details when arrangements are finalized.
Though Philip's physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the love he shared, the faith he practiced, and the countless lives he touched. His memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, dear Philip. You will be profoundly missed, but never forgotten.
