Nina Patricia Shade (Moncrief)

Nina Patricia Shade, known to many as “Pat”, passed away on October 2, 2025. Pat lived a life of compassion and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She was the crafting queen, the life of the party, all day every day, always happy, and making you laugh with her sense of humor!

She was predeceased in death by her parents, Clarence and Georgia Moncrief; beloved husband and soulmate, Theodore Shade; daughter, Michelle Shade; sister, Sandra Culver; and brother, William Moncrief. She is survived by her grandchildren: Jesse, Makayla (Michael), Tania (Leo), and Allysa (Ryan); great grandsons, Daniel and Theodore; sisters: Ann Farley (Dave), Rose Smith (Jay), Anita Roberts, and Nina Vincent (Rodney); and many nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for their care during her prolonged stay.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
