Nancy Anne Parrish

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Edwards-Parrish, an incredibly loving mother, sister, and friend. Nancy was born on July 10, 1970, and ascended into eternal rest on September 20, 2026. She was a warm, friendly, and welcoming individual, with open arms, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her thoughtful approach to life touched the hearts of all who knew her, leaving a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Michael R Parrish, and her father, William Edwards. She leaves behind a strong and loving family: her mother, Herta Edwards; her sons, Michael Parrish, Jesse Watley, Chris Shawn Watley; her step-son, Cody Parrish; and her sisters, Deborah Guyer, Brenda Dunaway, and Sandye Michael. Her loss is deeply felt by them, especially her son Michael, who vows to live the best life he can, just as she wished for him.

A woman of various interests, Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a love for comfort foods, with the Double Quarter Pounder being a personal favorite. She found refreshment in ice-cold water or Coke, often while enjoying a good Patricia Cornwell book. An avid TV watcher, Nancy also appreciated a good movie, with A Few Good Men and G.I. Jane being go-to choices. Musically, she was a fan of Beyonce and Nicki Minaj. She was an ardent supporter of The Chiefs, often adorning herself in her favorite color, red, during their matches.

Nancy proudly served in the Navy beginning in 1990, a notable achievement that showcased her strength, determination, and love for her country. Despite her passing, her influence and spirit live on through her family and friends. She was a beacon of light in a sometimes dark world, and her memory will continue to serve as a source of strength and inspiration for all who knew her.
