Milan Ray Proctor, age 62, passed away on November 7, 2025 after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born on December 16, 1962.
Milan was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Perry Proctor, Jr. and Mary Jean Morrison Whisenant; older brother, Dennis Wayne Proctor; and older Sister, Cynthia June Proctor. He is survived by his sister, Patti Dianne Proctor Carter and his beloved dogs, Bandyt and Ragsies.
Milan attended Montgomery Central High Elementary School and Clarksville High School. He worked at State Stove early in his life, but later worked for his sister, Patti, in her tour company, Music City Bus Line. He loved singing Johnny Cash, George Jones, and Alan Jackso. He was a really good disco dancer back in his day. He was a firm believer that Sasquatch was in the hills of TN and other areas of the country. Milan’s favorite term about a yard was “look at the grass and flowers - I’ve made it look like Opryland Hotel!” and HE DID! His most treasured memories were when traveling with Patti in a motorhome - he loved Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. Those were his very best times.
His biggest treasure was his black Ford Ranger truck which rarely saw any dirt on the paint. It was his most prized possession. Milan was happy with the simplest things. His life was not miraculous like so many, but he was a happy person with the simple things like a picnic at Cheatham Dam. That was always his go to when feeling like he needed a pick me up. If you ever met him, you would realize very quickly he was a giver and not selfish at all. Heaven gained a precious angel and we lost a beautiful person.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Abby Lynn Clubhouse on Abby Lynn Circle in Sango.
Please visit Milan's tribute wall and share a memory with the family.
