Melita Jenae Wilhoite-Sutton

Melita Jenae Wilhoite-Sutton, 46, passed away on January 29, 2024 at her home. She was born on September 27, 1977 in Tullahoma, TN to Don Wilhoite and Mary Freeman Anderson.

Melita was a very outgoing person and cared about others. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed painting. She loved to cook and bake for her loved ones. She was a lover of animals, especially her dogs.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary Kinney and Reverend Cleveland Freeman; and paternal grandparents, Nick and Ethel Lee Wilhoite. In addition to her mother, Melita is survived by her loving wife of six years, Latarsha Sutton; sons: Cairo, Kyree, and Jahri; siblings: Eddie, Shonte, Mia, and Ebony; God children, Terri and Mekhi; fur babies, Isis and Osiris; and many other friends and family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on March 2, 2024 from 12:30-1:30 PM at Anointed Life Fellowship Church, 1208 McFerrin Avenue, Nashville, TN 37206.
