Matthew Charles Welker

Matthew Charles Welker, age 51, went to be with the Lord and his Nanny on July 29, 2025, at Tennova hospital with complications from diabetes. He was born on July 2, 1974.

He was a below the knee double amputee. His struggle is over. He deeply loved his family, friends, and animals. His hobbies included video games and he was a fan of Star Trek and Star Wars, holding a plethora of information on both. He loved to build intricate models of aircraft and ships. He loved music and played his guitars and drums with a passion for his drums. He loved cooking, baking, and growing herbs. He had plans to walk again soon. You are missed and loved and the lord has made you whole again.

Matthew is survived by his brother, Jerry Lee Knight of Clarksville, TN; sister, Kayla Dawn Hightower of Bluford, IL; nephews, Jeremiah Michael Kirtland of Clarksville, TN and Neo Laurence Doe of Mishawaka, IN; and parents, Laurence Robert and Edna Darlene Doe of Clarksville, TN.
