Lynda Elaine Wetherbee (Geren)

December 8, 1946 — September 4, 2025

Clarksville

Lynda Elaine (Geren) Wetherbee went on to be with the Lord on September 4th, 2025. Lynda was born in Schoolcraft, Michigan to the late Beryl and Elma (Fetters) Geren.

Lynda was raised in Portage, Michigan. She retired from the Upjohn Company after working in Quality Control. Lynda also owned and operated her own daycare in both Michigan and Washington for many years. The family will always remember Lynda as a talented, driven woman who enjoyed painting pottery and canvasses, decorating, and putting together a wonderful spread for the holidays.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard Wetherbee; daughter, Sonya Ver Sluis; granddaughter, Brittany Chapman; and sister, Patricia Dingman. She is survived by her son, Andrew (Tina) Wetherbee of Tennessee; daughter, Darla Murphy of Michigan; brother, Dave Geren of Florida; grandchildren: Heather (Miguel) Chapman-Sigala, Denisha Martin, Destinee Martin, Dominique Martin, Tavon Murphy, Cole Wetherbee, and Alanna Wetherbee; nine great-grandchildren; and many family members and friends across Tennessee and Michigan.

The family offers a special thank you to the many friends at the Clarksville 50+ Activity Center, where Lynda enjoyed the fellowship and activities. They made her feel at home and were a big part of her life in her last few years.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation in Lynda’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
