March 23, 1951 — September 6, 2025

Clarksville

Kathleen Ann Christiansen, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 6, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on March 23, 1951, in Denver, Colorado, to Pauline and Dale Fisk, Kathleen grew up with a deep appreciation for family, learning, and community.

She attended the University of Colorado, where she earned her degree in journalism. During her college years she worked at Montgomery Ward alongside a persistent gentleman who, at least then, had more hair on his head than his lip. After some convincing and ensuring her work schedule was clear, he was finally able to take her out for their first date and they have been together ever since. On August 17, 1973, Kathleen married the love of her life, Eric Christiansen. For the next 52 years they built a beautiful life grounded in love, laughter, travel and dedication to their family. Kathy was a proud and caring mother to Michelle and Steven, and she took great joy in watching them grow and thrive.

Also during her college years, Kathy found a second love to which she would also dedicate the remainder of her life. She was initiated into the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority in the fall of 1969. Through the sorority she committed her life to service, built countless lifelong friendships and amassed a squirrel collection second to none! She continued to volunteer her time to local chapters to build up the next generation squirrel as well as attend the bi-annual conferences all around the United States.

Kathy’s family was the center of her world. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter Michelle and Michelle’s wife, Amy, along with their four children: Amelia, Bastian, Addison, and Kylie. She especially loved spending time with her “sous chefs” in the kitchen each trip while creating edible crafts.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Eric; her children, Michelle and Steven; Michelle’s wife, Amy; and her treasured grandchildren: Amelia, Bastian, Addison, and Kylie. Kathy’s legacy of love, compassion, and strength will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the joy she brought into their lives.

Kathleen Ann Christiansen will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her warm smile, and the humor with which she approached life. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
