Joseph Owen Benton

Joseph Owen Benton, age 76, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at his home. He was born on December 15, 1948, in Trenton, Kentucky to Robert F. Benton and Pearl Leona Benton. Joseph is a graduate of Clarksville High School. He loved to grill out, hunt, and fish.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ines Jo Benton. She passed away on December 26, 2016. Left to cherish his memories are his brothers, Robert F. Benton, Jr. and William W. Benton; sisters, Nancy L. Harbert and Laura H. Baggett; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at Sango Cemetery with Pastor Billy Wall officiating. The service details will be announced at a later date.
