James Allen White, Jr. of Clarksville, TN departed his earthly life on Friday, July 4, 2025, to be with the Lord. He was born on January 17, 1949, in Nashville, TN to the late James A. White, Sr. and the late Louise Roland White Douglas. James was the oldest of nine children and was known by his nickname “Shorty.”
James was educated in the Metropolitan Nashville School System. He lived in Nashville until he married Pamela Boleyjack in 1988 and relocated to Atlanta, GA. During his marriage he also lived in Richmond, VA, Austin, TX, and Raleigh, NC. James was the successful owner of his own custodial company, White’s Janitorial Services. After he and his wife Pam’s retirement, he relocated to Clarksville, TN in 2018. James lived a full life and was well liked. He was jovial and outgoing. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, fishing, growing tomato plants in the spring and summer, and spending time with his family. He will be truly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Pamela; daughter,s Joya White and Sonya White; sons, Eljay White and James Ivory; grandchildren: Christopher, Diamond, Kai, and Jacob; great grandchildren: Tenaya, Kaleigh, Skylor, Lana, Tiger, and Titan; sisters: Joyce Foster (Mike), Nancy Black, Lisa Douglas, and Pamela Douglas; sister-in-law, Sandra Barbee; brother-in-law, Lucius Boleyjack; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friendsl; and devoted friend, Andrew Dickinson.
