Harry Edward Smith, Jr.

Harry E. Smith Jr., 83, of Clarksville, TN passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on June 10, 1943, in Baltimore, MD, Harry was the beloved son of Harry Smith Sr and Dolores Smith. He was raised in Baltimore and went on to graduate from Kenwood High School.

Harry spent his full 30-year career at Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore. He held several positions over his career before retiring as a foreman in 1992. Outside of work, he found joy in riding motorcycles, eating seafood, working on vehicles, and watching baseball. Those who knew him will remember his kindness, wisdom, and one-of-a-kind personality.

Above all, Harry cherished his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret; his sons H. Edward III and Michael (Michele); his grandchildren Alec (Brianna), Jared, Trevor, Evan, Mason, Mack, and Myley; his great-granddaughters Olive, Salem, and Story; his brother Allen; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Sr. and Dolores; as well as his siblings James, Jean, Ronald, and Richard.

Harry leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, generosity, and family values. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
