Gregory Alan Bagwell

July 22, 1960 — March 29, 2026

Clarksville

Gregory Alan Bagwell, cherished for his huge heart, humor, and dedication to his family, passed away on March 29th with his loved ones by his side. A true craftsman, Greg had the ability to create beautiful and functional works of art, including intricately carved bows and knives that required much focus and skill. Most of these creations were given as heartfelt gifts to those he cared for. He was also a lifelong outdoors man, an avid hunter and fisherman, who found peace and joy in the quiet of nature. He never failed to point out deer and wild turkeys to whoever was with him at the time. Greg loved traveling with his wife and the time they spent together exploring new destinations, attending concerts, visiting family, and sharing peaceful moments on their porch. He touched countless lives with his kindness, and many turned to him for advice and guidance throughout the years. His lasting impact will be felt by all who knew him.

After graduating from Northwest High School and Austin Peay State University, Greg enjoyed a successful career as an engineer at Trane Company, where he dedicated over 25 years before retiring.

Greg was the son of the late Alene and Ennis Bagwell of Clarksville, TN. He is predeceased by his sister Donna Nelson and son Jamison Bagwell. He is survived by his beloved wife Linda, son Jordan Bagwell (Jihee), brothers Dennis (Marylin) and Earl (Barbara), and the mother of his children Sherry Butts (Garrison). Greg was a wonderful grandfather to Vance, Henry, Emily, Jarek, Jax, Eliza, Finn, Riley, and Remi, each of whom he cherished dearly. His grandchildren were truly precious to him, and he found immense joy in their presence. He leaves behind a long list of extended family and friends who will miss him.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice and to Mandy, Porsha, Phuong, Beate, Jessica, and Bry for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time. Their kindness and guidance were a true comfort.

Known for his quiet generosity, Greg was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and family in times of need. In honor of his giving spirit, the family invites you to make a donation to a charity of your choice in Greg’s memory.

Visitation will be held on April 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the service at 12:00 noon. Both will take place at Stroudsville Church of Christ, 1531 Stroudsville Rd., Adams, TN. Honorary pallbearers will include past and present members of the Twin Oaks Archery Club, recognizing Greg’s years of involvement and the lasting friendships he forged there.
