Gary Wayne Dickens

Gary Dickens, 58, of Springfield TN, passed away on March 19, 2026 after a long battle with cancer.

He was born on the 4th of May to Jack Henry Dickens and Elsie Mai Watts in Nashville, Tennessee. He was raised in Greenbrier TN and after graduating high school he worked various jobs and eventually settled for a career at Electrolux where he remained for almost 30 years as a technician.

In 1998, he met his late wife Joy, whom also worked at Electrolux at the time. They resided in Springfield, TN for nearly 3 decades, having no children. In 2022, Joy had passed away.

In 2023, Gary decided to remarry and was introduced to Meludia Cael. Gary loved Meludia dearly, he decided to marry Meludia in 2025. In the same year Gary retired from Electrolux, leaving good friends at the company to focus on his health and dedicating quality time to Meludia and his dogs Yogi and Lucy.

In the early spring of 2026, Gary succumbed to his cancer, and finally rest in peace at his mother and younger brother’s home in Clarksville, TN.

Gary was predeceased by his late wife Vong Joy Dickens and stepfather Cecil Ross Hunt Sr. He is survived by his wife Meludia Cael; mother Elsie Mai Hunt; father Jack Henry Dickens (wife Wanda); big brother Eddie Dickens (wife Cheryl); younger sister Theresa; younger brother Cecil R. Hunt Jr (wife Lorela); niece Hannah Dickens; and nephews Joshua and Daniel Hunt.
