Gary Wayne Belew

October 30, 1950 — May 20, 2026

Clarksville

Gary was born at Ft. Campbell, KY to the late Edd & Rose Belew. He was the youngest of 5 children. Pre-deceased by James "Big Ed" Belew. Survived by William "Bill" (Debbie) Belew, Carolyn "Susie" (Dorsey) Ivey & Bonnie Hernandez, all of Clarksville.

He was a man of many musical talents, winning awards at Ft. Campbell Eagle Roost Rec Center talent show, performing as Elvis, heading up the entertainment at Bill Halls Vacation Motor Hotel in Clarksville or playing on Kevin Kennedy's God and Country. Through the years, his passion for music always burned bright....like his love for Patricia "Susan" Belew, who pre-deceased him in Dec. '22.

After many years together, they married June 20, 1986, combining their families into a "Brady Bunch" type of home with his: Tammie (Dale) Miller, Florida; Joseph (Josette) Belew, Clarksville; Reda (Jeffery) Johnson, Hopkinsville...and hers: Wendy Vanmeter, Kentucky; Kendel Tucker and Shane Bilbro, Clarksville, creating a family that blended and remains loving for over 40 years, creating many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11am, Sat., June 6, 2026 at Spring Creek Baptist Church, 2760 Trenton Rd, Clarksville, TN, with food and fellowship to follow.
