Donald Ray Castleberry

Donald Ray Castleberry, age 73, of Nashville, TN, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. Born on July 22, 1951, in Greenville, Kentucky, Donald was the beloved son of Audley Castleberry and Mary Ann Roark. He was one of three children and grew up with a strong sense of family, loyalty, and independence that stayed with him throughout his life.

Donald worked for many years as a dedicated truck driver, taking pride in his hard work and the open road. Known for his big heart and laid-back spirit, he was someone who never met a stranger and was always ready with a story or a laugh. He deeply valued the time he spent with close friends who became like family to him over the years. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life — especially in the companionship of his loyal dog, Betty, and in the freedom he felt while riding his cherished Harley Davidson, affectionately named “Heartbreaker.”

Donald will be remembered for his strong will, his kind soul, and the bonds he built with those around him.

He is survived by his extended family, several that knew him as “Uncle Don” and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.

A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at a later date, where his loved ones will gather to honor the life of a man who truly rode his own road.
