Dona Jean Miller (Tice)

Dona Jean Miller, 95, passed away on July 26, 2026. She was born on May 25, 1931 in Bovill, ID to Otis and Maud Kelling Tice. Dona spent her childhood in Spokane, Washington, and later lived in Seattle. Throughout her life, she called several states home, including Washington, Alaska, Rhode Island, California, and Kansas, before moving to Tennessee to be closer to her son.

Dona had a lifelong love for cats and devoted many hours as a hospital volunteer in Manhattan, Kansas, where she touched the lives of many patients' family members and staff. After relocating to Tennessee, she finally had the opportunity to spend more time with many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories with her family during her final years.

Dona is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Miller; her son, Gary Johnson; and her sister, Dorothy Bagley. She is survived by her son, Steven Miller; her sister, Hazel Rockwood; along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends who will miss her.

Dona's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
