Diana Marie Stibbles

With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Diana Marie Stibbles, who peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by the love of her family.

Diana was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, aunt, and dear friend. She lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, hard work, and unwavering love for her family. Her gentle spirit and generous heart touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

For many years, Diana faithfully served at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti Michigan, where she worked in housekeeping and food preparation for 25 years. She took great pride in her work and was respected for her dedication, reliability, and caring nature. Whether caring for patients through her work or caring for her family at home, Diana gave of herself wholeheartedly.

She was happiest when surrounded by family. Diana treasured every family gathering, holiday, and celebration, creating lasting memories with home-cooked meals, laughter, and unconditional love. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, and she never hesitated to help someone in need. Her warmth, strength, and selflessness will remain an enduring legacy for generations to come.

Diana was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 22 years, Michael Stibbles; her siblings Jim Wellday, Donna Wellday, and Richard Wellday; and many other loved ones who welcomed her into eternal peace.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children: Marilyn Garry (James), Carolyn Aikens, Danny Lehman (Sherry), and Brenda Brice.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to William Garry, Joshua Garry (Alicia), Stephanie Timmons, Paul Lehman, and Meagan Harrison each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.

She is also survived by her beloved siblings: Russell Wellday (Marcella), William Wellday (Cheryl), Fredrick Wellday, Timothy Wellday, Carol Wellday (preceded in death by her husband, Tim), and Sheryl Wellday (preceded in death by her husband, Craig), along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will deeply miss her.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Diana’s love lives on in the family she cherished so deeply. Her kindness, generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will forever remain in our hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love that will never be forgotten.

A graveside service will be held at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West at a later date. Family and friends will be notified when arrangements have been finalized.
