Daniel Jason Walker

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Daniel Jason “Jay” Walker. Jason was born on September 8,1977 and passed away on July 20, 2025. He was the son of Gale Walker Armstrong and Jimmy Shinton, Sr.

Jason was a loving person with a big heart. If you knew him, he would have given you the shirt off his back or do anything for you. He worked hard all all of his life as a laborer and learned many different trades. He was very talented and could do just about anything he put his mind to.

Jason is survived by his loving mother, Gale Armstrong; step dad, Dan Armstrong; half sisters, Angela Nance and Lori Shinton; half brothers: Lyle Armstrong, Jimmy Shinton, Jr., Jason Shinton, and Jeremy Shinton; aunts, Patty Ladd and Sue (Randy) Carte; and uncles: Steve Walker, Don Walker, and Joe (Ann) Walker. He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Shinton, Sr.; half brother, Joseph Shinton; grandparents, Billy and Ruby Walker; aunt, Nancy; and uncles, J.R. Underwood and Larry Walker.

Jason will be sorely missed by all who loved him.
