Crystal loved fiercely, fed everyone constantly, and survived almost entirely on coffee. If you were in her life, chances are she asked if you were hungry — and if you said no, she cooked anyway.
Her kitchen was her happy place, and feeding people was her love language. Her nieces, Apryl and Nikki, knew this best. They could ask for their favorite dishes at any time, and Crystal would make them without hesitation — usually while reminding them how much work it was… but still making extra just in case.
Coffee was basically one of the food groups in Crystal’s life. One cup turned into many, and somehow she still managed to keep everyone else alive, fed, and taken care of in between refills.
Her greatest joy was her grandson, Brice. She never forgot his special bagels — ever. Not once. If the bagels weren’t right, neither was the day. That was Crystal: remembering the little things because to her, they weren’t little at all.
Crystal also shared an unbreakable, unspeakable bond with her sister, Sherrie. The kind of sisterhood where no explanation was needed, no words were required, and loyalty ran deep. They laughed, they understood each other without speaking, and that bond will never be broken.
Crystal will be remembered for her big heart, full coffee cup, overstocked kitchen, and the way she loved people loudly, stubbornly, and endlessly. She will be deeply missed — but if there’s a kitchen in heaven, we’re certain she’s already taken over.
