Candace Marie Welsh (O'Rando)

Candace Marie Welsh (O’Rando) of St.Louis, MO currently residing in Fort Campbell, KY; passed away on Saturday morning April 11,2026 at the young age of 45. She had breast cancer that eventually over time became brain cancer which then took her to be with her Jesus.

She was the beloved wife Michael A. Welsh; daughter of Catherine G. Reinsch (Timothy Willoughby) and Brian K. O’Rando. She was a very loving mother to her three beautiful children Tyler Gurschke (Annie Kompkof),Aria Welsh and Noelle Welsh. Sister to Christopher O’Rando (Mary), Ashley Niemann (Chris), Brianna McGill and Amy Willoughby. Daughter in Law to Sharon and Larry Welsh; Sister in Law to Kimberly Webb. Loving granddaughter, aunt, niece and cousin to many.

She had countless friends across the country as well. Candace was born in St. Louis, MO; raised in Las Vegas, NV returning as an adult to St. Louis then moving with Michael and their girls to Fort Carson, CO then on to Fort Campbell, KY as Michael had joined the Army. She received her GED followed by her Medical Assistant Degree at Midwest Institute. She then worked as an MA in StLouis for a few years prior to military life where she then became a stay at home mom and volunteered at the Warrior Warehouse on base until she became too ill with Breast Cancer treatments. Candace was a strong woman that worked hard, fought harder and full of faith. She loved the Lord with all her heart, mind and strength. She was a beautiful encouragement to everyone around her. She had a big heart for those in need, always willing to help others, even in her own times of need. She loved her family and friends deeply. She never held back anything. She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She will forever be an angel in our hearts. Candace had a real passion for rocks. She loved to be outside digging in the dirt; discovering, hauling home rocks and anything else interesting to open up and investigate. She loved all God’s creation living and non living.

A memorial service will be held at Gateway Church of the Nazarene in St Louis MO on May 30th 2026, at 11:00am.

Memorials may be made in her name in lieu of flowers to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
