Brig Gen Clayton "Gary" Bridges, AIR FORCE, (Ret)

Brig Gen Clayton Gary Bridges, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), age 82, passed away peacefully on Nov 3, 2026. He participated in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Silver Star Medal for gallantry in action, alongside the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Legion of Merit. His extraordinary courage under fire was a testament to his character—a trait that defined his entire life, both on and off the battlefield. After serving his country for 37 years, Gary retired to Clarksville, TN where he enjoyed a wonderful life with his wife Linda and their many puppies. Gary’s days were filled enjoying his passions in life: golf, the Vols, and his deep spiritual faith. He is survived not only by his wife but also his loving children Kathy and Clay, his devoted brother and sister Darrell and Jo, four grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren
